Grateful
I am sitting 38,000 feet above sea level, soaring through the skies in a large mechanical bird, glancing out of the windows admiring the grandeur of God’s creation. The sky is so picturesque with an array of colours; from the golden sun with purple hues signalling the approaching sunset, to the white, cream, greyish and blueish fluffy clouds covering the surface beneath the bird. I sit there wondering what lies beneath those clouds at this precise moment. What children are playing in the streets, what plants are flourishing under the pouring rains, what beasts are roaming freely on the earth, what heart is getting broken by a heartless lover, and whose dreams are about to come true at the stroke of what some may call “luck.” I do realise that I know what lies ahead for me, and I am so sure of it as I observe the rays of light bouncing off every single gemstone adorning the beautiful ring sitting on my finger, which my now fiancé gave me as a token to symbolise his intention to spend the rest of his life with me - what lies ahead for me is an adventurous life filled with love. I am grateful.
